Fabrizio Morassutto - Drums |
|
Fabrizio Morassutto was born in 1966 in a family of musicians. At the age of six he had his first debut on stage with his father's orchestra. Along his self-taught path, he has substituted in a few gigs for his uncle, the first to inspire him. At the age of thirteen he founded his first group and frequently performed at parties and other entertainment events, at the same time cooperating with various local cover bands. In 1982 he met with Roberto Sgorlon, founder of Quasar Lux Symphoniae, today called QLS. Thus began a long-lasting cooperation, recording the album Night Hymn. Fabrizio's technique grows through self-teaching due to his curiosity and hunger for learning and he has no preclusion to genres, as he listens and plays all kinds of music from the 60's to present. The drum set used for Synopsis is composed of a beautiful Mapex Orion (with toms measuring 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”), a 22” kick, a Black Panther snare (14” x 6”), Sabian HH, AAX, and Vault cymbals. For some projects he plays a 1977 Ludwig with 2002 Paiste cymbals (recorded in Night Hymn and The Enlightening March of the Argonauts), a Gretsch with Zildjian (used in MIT) and a Yamaha YD 9000 with Sabian cymbals (used in Abraham).
