The passion for inquiry, seeking new things, a curiosity, a desire to seek the essence hidden behind the false simplicity of nature creates a convoluted and sometimes hidden path which eventually reappears becoming distinct. This is one of the factors that has shaped me in these last few years making me eclectic in my studies, leading me from classical studies, to engineering, and on to various fields of life.
These are the same feelings which drive my musical experience: student of opera singing, guitarist for ballroom, pop, hard rock and, recently – thunderstruck – of progressive music.
The music I listen to? It's difficult to identify it. I can tell you that to me at times a tango can be as valid as a piece by Metallica, an impetuous orchestra playing Wagner as much as a delicate Debussy on the piano.
The important thing is for music not to be boring or commonplace, but to be music. Indeed, it should convey feelings and sensations through a universal language in which those who listen don't have to know the grammar. From this point of view the QLS experience is a summa, a combination of Bach and Genesis, of atmosphere and incisiveness, a finish line and a start.
